Kids Club recently hosted a family event at Landa Park for Kids Club students and their families. You can check out a peek at the fun on this short video reel on our Instagram page.

Kids Club Director Jamie Ezell said this annual event is a great way to bring families, staff and volunteers together to build relationships. Families engaged with one another at different stations, including face painting, outdoor games, balloon animals and a photo booth. A meal was provided by Rudy’s Country Store and Bar-B-Q and distributed by volunteers from Epic Life Church.

“This event provides a relaxed atmosphere to engage in casual conversation, which is nice because we typically only get to see parents during program pickup,” Ezell explained. Ezell said it was special to see students who have moved on to upper grades attend the event with their younger siblings and family.

For Kids Club parent Adriane Juarez, the event was a little bittersweet, as this is the last family event they will attend before her children graduate from Kids Club this year and move on to sixth grade. She said Kids Club has impacted their family in several positive ways.

“As a single mom of twins, it’s been great knowing that I have extra support. If I need it, I can reach out or they can guide me to the right direction where I can get more support. It’s been a blessing to have Kids Club with my kids,” Juarez said.

New Braunfels Christian Ministries Kids Club creates a fun, engaging environment where elementary-aged students thrive through positive relationships with caring adults. Kids Club staff and volunteers invest in the lives of 250 students each week across six program sites.
