VOLUNTEERS IN MEDICINE
Sharing the love of Christ
by investing in people

Volunteers in Medicine provides wholistic healthcare that is personal, relational and spiritual. While the core services are very similar to those provided in high-volume practices, VIM is set apart by the trusting relationships established with patients and the clinic’s focus on whole-person care that affirms the God-given value of every person. Patients are empowered to manage their chronic medical conditions and are better equipped to maintain employment and complete daily responsibilities.
VIM shares Christ’s love by not only providing care to meet patient’s physical needs but providing an opportunity to meet their spiritual needs through prayer. As many patients seek VIM on their lowest days, staff strives to remain engaged with patients and will continue to actively listen, connect, and pray with them.

our mission by the numbers

VIM provides education, nutrition guidance and support to diabetic patients, helping 86% to achieve A1C less than 9%.

Because early detection saves lives, 73% of eligible VIM patients have received breast cancer screening, compared to the national average of 42% of uninsured women.

Uninsured adult patients at VIM received compassionate care at 5,933 medical and 813 dental appointments in 2024.
