Kids Club partners with local schools, volunteers and families to affirm God-given value and multiply possibilities together. Kids Club creates a fun, engaging environment where kids thrive through positive relationships with caring adults. Kids grow academically, expand life skills and develop Godly character.
Affirming God-given value
Jerry loves to cook and serves at Kids Club by cooking dinner for our students. He has been married to his high school sweetheart for 40 years and says, "It only gets better!"
After 4 years of church planting in Brooklyn, New York, Kelyn joined NBCM in 2018 with the desire to bring her experience of building a church to building a strong volunteer base that multiplies possibilities with students at Kids Club.
Christine is a happily married Christian mom of two boys, and is always on the go. She says, "I have traveled all over and have done and seen some amazing things, but I find my greatest joy in helping others know that they are loved and have a future and a hope in Christ Jesus."
Sylvia has been with Kids Club in one capacity or another since the early days. Sylvia enjoys nature; the beach, taking walks in the park and driving through the hill country with Joe, her husband of 33 years. Together they have three daughters, three sons-in-love, and 14 grandchildren. She says, "The best of me is found in the “grace upon grace“ given to me through our Lord Jesus Christ."
Rebbekah joined NBCM in January 2019. Originally from Edinburg Texas where she graduated from UTPA, Rebbekah moved to New Braunfels in 2013 and quickly fell in love with the town. She says, "When I am not at Kids Club, I am cooking for friends, listening to an audiobook, or enjoying a run around town."
Corrie was born and raised in Georgia, and she still enjoys cheering for the Braves, Dawgs, & Falcons, and drinking ice cold Coke. She says, "I met my husband Jordan on a blind date, and we got married less than a year later, in the summer of 2015. Three things we love to do: play board games, eat Chuy’s creamy jalapeño dip & chips, and walk our dogs."
Lauren joined NBCM in 2019. She grew up in North Texas and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in early childhood education degree from Tarleton State University. Lauren and her husband have four children who keep them very busy. She says,"I love spending the weekends/off time with my family, traveling as much as I can and volunteering with/mentoring teen moms in our community through Younglives."
Recently, while training leaders in Africa, Johnny was awarded the clothing of an African Prince (pictured here), which perfectly illustrates His purpose at Kids Club. Johnny joined NBCM in 2019 with a passion to guide students/campers at Kids Club on an adventure in discovering God's personal love for them, as they are also princes and princesses -- Sons and Daughters of the King of KINGS!
Ami has been involved with Kids Club since 2011, first as a volunteer and then as a staff member since 2017. Ami has been married to her husband, Ken, for 25 years, and they have 3 children. She says, "In my free time I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and traveling."
Bre has worked in the nonprofit community since 2013. With her experience in development and devotion to help others in our local community, Bre joined NBCM in 2018.
ASSISTANT PROGRAM COORDINATORS
Melissa began working with Kids Club in August 2019. She says, "I am so thankful for a job where I get to share the love of Christ with kids every day!" Some of Melissa's favorite things are spending time with family, hiking, cooking, coffee, good book, and most of all, Jesus!
Jennifer joined NBCM in 2016. Jennifer and her husband Mark have 4 children. She says, "I have always had a calling to work with children. After working for two private schools for a number of years, the Lord then gave me the opportunity to be a part of NBCM. There truly is no more rewarding job I have ever held than at Kids Club."
Sarah started at NBCM the summer of 2018 as an Intern and transitioned that school year to an Assistant Coordinator role for Kids Club on-site campuses. She has been happily married to her husband since the spring of 2018. In her free time, Sarah enjoys creating art, playing games, camping, hiking, and just being outdoors. She says, "I look forward to what the Lord has for me and my future working with NBCM."
