Across our community, the needs are growing.

At Volunteers in Medicine, more uninsured adults are seeking consistent, whole-person care. At Kids Club, children continue to benefit from positive relationships, academic reinforcement, and the steady reminder that they are known and loved. As healthcare costs rise and social and emotional challenges increase, ministries like ours—and many others—are seeing increased demand for services.

We are deeply grateful for the foundations who partner with New Braunfels Christian Ministries. Foundations strengthen nonprofits across the country by encouraging innovation, providing stability, and investing in long-term impact. Their support has helped NBCM grow in quality and excellence, expand services, and respond faithfully to revealed need.

At the same time, foundations are receiving more requests than ever before. As community needs expand, demand for grant funding is rising faster than available resources. Although NBCM does not rely on government funding, many nonprofits do. As those organizations navigate reductions and uncertainty in public funding, they increasingly turn to foundations, further stretching already limited grant resources.

This reality does not reflect a lack of generosity. It reflects a growing need.

Scripture reminds us:
“For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”
Romans 12:4–5 (NIV)

Foundations are vital members of the Body. But they were never intended to function alone. Strong charities are sustained through diversified partnership—individual donors, businesses, churches, volunteers, and foundations working together.

At NBCM, we remain committed to wise stewardship and long-term sustainability. Our strategic plan emphasizes growing in response to revealed need while fully utilizing existing programs and investing in relationships. We are careful to pursue growth at a sustainable pace, maximizing impact with the resources entrusted to us. As needs increase, so does opportunity.

Opportunity for more members of our community to step into partnership. Opportunity to strengthen the fabric of support around uninsured patients and elementary students. Opportunity to care for the sick, comfort the lonely, encourage the downtrodden, or to read with a child. Opportunity to share the love of Christ in practical, transformative ways.

We are confident in this truth:
“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us…”
Ephesians 3:20 (NIV)

God has always provided for this ministry through His people. And we believe He will continue to do so—together.

We invite you to join us in meeting growing needs—together. Explore opportunities to give, volunteer, or partner with NBCM as we continue sharing the love of Christ by investing in people.
